Need better communication

Our tour was cancelled and they didn’t send an email until 20 minutes before we were to be picked up. A text would have been nice, since I don’t check emails constantly. We waited by the curb for 20 minutes before I saw the email.

Hi Diana, Thank you for your feedback and really sorry about the cancellation of your experience. Since you booked though a third party (Viator) we did get in touch with the provider at first to inform them, with hopes they would have processed the cancellation immediately. This clearly did not happen. I've asked them to investigate why the cancellation was not recorded immediately and why you were not informed proactively. The reason for the cancellation was the smoke cloud above the city. In fact, the air in Seattle being in the "very unhealthy range" and not suitable for a walking tour. Our guests and hosts health is paramount and we must do our best to avoid any situation which would put anyone at risk. The experience we were hoping to deliver, in the format we were planning to deliver it, would have put you all in danger. Hence the difficult decision to cancel the experience. I hope to see you again in one of our 50 cities under better circumstances. Best Wishes, Anna COO at City Unscripted
