Overview

Your 3-day tour from Rome to the Campania region of Southern Italy starts with the drive to Naples, followed by a visit to the ancient buried city of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved archaeological ruins from the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. End the day on the spectacular town of Sorrento, where two nights of accommodation are included at a 4-star or 4-star superior hotel (select your level of hotel when booking).
The next morning, head out on a day trip to the island of Capri, home of the Blue Grotto. If your tour takes place during the winter, spend the day at your leisure in Sorrento instead. Return to Sorrento for another evening at the hotel.
The next day, after breakfast, enjoy more free time in Sorrento before heading back to the Eternal City to conclude your tour.

The city dominates the homonymous gulf, which extends from the Sorrento peninsula to the volcanic area of the Campi Flegrei and offers a very impressive view, with the imposing volcano Vesuvius and in the distance, three magnificent islands - Capri, Ischia and Procida - that look like little jewels born from the sea.
