Return Details

Returns to original departure point
Head to Toulouse Street in the French Quarter and board your beautiful riverboat. This paddlewheel ship — one of the last of its kind in New Orleans — will transport you back to the 19th century when ports bustled with produce-laden cargo ships, steamboats, and clandestine privateering.

Take a stroll along the deck as you begin the journey along the Mississippi River. Then have a seat in the cabin or on the outside deck, where you’ll get unobstructed views of the striking shoreline at dusk, and soak up some live jazz tunes from the Grammy-nominated Dukes of Dixieland, a true New Orleans-style band.

As for dinner, your tableside meal might include anything from chicken and sausage gumbo to cheesy penne pasta. Top it off with signature bread pudding accompanied by coffee and tea.

Your evening cruise ends back at the departure point in the French Quarter.

Please Note: The "starting from" price displayed is based on the cruise only option.

Great night time experience
Deborah_E
, Dec 2021
We enjoyed with another couple the night cruise. The food was delicious and the staff was most attentive and helpful. It was a little chilly for the 4th deck. Only complaint a private party was on the 3rd deck so was not able to access. Prior notice would have helped.

Fun Cruise, Skip the Dinner
Ruby_D
, Dec 2021
The experience on the cruise itself was fun: being on a riverboat on the Mississippi, seeing the gorgeous skyline of New Orleans at night, enjoying a live jazz concert. The dinner service, however, was disorganized and unenjoyable. The staff didn’t seem to know their job duties. Also their sense of timing was horrible, from the host/hostess constantly leaving the entrance unattended for long periods, to our table server responding at a glacial pace. Mind you, it was a buffet … so our server had few items to actually bring to us. But he seemed so absent-minded and disappeared for such lengthy periods that we, and other patrons around us, had to retrieve items ourselves (e.g. coffee, water, dessert) after our repeated requests went unanswered. The food itself was average, and the buffet logistics were strange and inconsistent. Soups were hidden away from the buffet line and were offered only to some people at random. A dessert item was featured in the buffet lineup between the meat entree and the dinner rolls, but the buffet servers skipped right over it without offering to plate it with the other food items. Apparently the table servers were supposed to bring dessert to us after we finished our meals … so then why was the dessert presented at all in the food buffet?! And why was it out of order - between the meat & bread?! The meal atmosphere was just strange and unsettling, and the whole dining experience really was a letdown. It occurred at the start of the cruise, so it set such a poor tone for the rest of the evening. I recommend forgoing the dinner altogether. Other patrons who didn’t purchase the dinner were still able to enjoy snacks & beverages in the bar on the lower deck. And honestly they seemed to have a much better time overall than those of us who endured the dinner. They were singing and dancing even up to disembarkation. Enjoy the cruise & jazz, skip the dinner!

The steamboat is an awesome experience.. I would recommend eating dinner later because the food was amazing and we were stuffed by 7, ready to fall asleep by 8 due to being so relaxed and realized we were on a boat and couldnt just go back to our room.

Not Worth The Money
kimberly_t

Not what I expected at all. The music was terrible and put you to sleep. Was really hoping to do some dancing but it wasn't happening with the way they were playing. Didn't see a single person dance. By the end of the night people were lined up to leave 20 minutes early. Did help that the people started putting away the tables and chairs while we were still on the boat. Gave a very goodbye vibe. Food and drinks were good and the service was as well. I wouldn't recommend spending your money on this activity.

We are very disappointed to learn that the music was not as expected. It is usually more traditional jazz and may not have been your preference. We will share these comments with Food & Beverage and Entertainment.

Food and service was great! Highly recommended. Didnt get to see the disembark but saw coming back. Missed the Christmas picture in front of the captains wheel so disappointed but had nothing to do with the event. Highly recommend even in November

The boat had mechanical problems so we did not move. Dinner was fine but not a ‘moving’ experience. Hard to rate or recommend!

That situation certainly took us by surprise. I hope they offered a free cruise for the future
