The first stop in La Jolla was great, we got to see sea lions and seals really up close and the view was beautiful. The USS Midway Museum was really impressive! Unfortunately, we only had 1.15 hours to tour the ship. So we really had to rush and still didn’t manage to look at everything, which we would have liked to do! The next stop was the Coronado hotel, where ‚some like it hot‘ was filmed. Although it was an interesting location, our tour guide rushed us and seemed impatient whenever we stopped to really look at something. At times he didn’t even check if we were still there. The last stop in old town San Diego was quite nice and we had enough time. All in all, an ok trip with mostly great locations but not so great time management.

It could be better

The traffic form/to LA / San Diego is very heavy, so expect to spend 6-7 hours in the wan. I liked la Jolla & Coronado island visits but I would say I didn't saw lot of San Diego... I miss the downtown and the visit to the city itself. I will suggest to AVOID the old Town San Diego State Historic Park, it's a fake Mexican village, no atmosphere, only a waste of time. Local operator very good and they run small group tour :-) (we were 4)

This trip was our first to the west side of the country and it was amazing. The San Diego trip was by far the best one for both of us and we had an amazing time. I do not remember the tour guide name we went 2017 May but he was the best. He was very knowledgeable and funny and courteous. We really enjoyed it. And the people who were with us some people came all the way from South Africa and England were very funny and welcoming towards each other. We highly recommend this trip out to San Diego from LA area

A very pleasant day trip to San Diego in a comfortable vehicle. Jacob was a superb guide and driver. San Diego is a lovely city so well worth the few hours on the freeway to get there and back. The itinerary covers a few of the city's key sights in the time available so met my expectations of what's reasonable in a day trip.
