It was awesome. The tour guides at Kauai Island Shuttle definitely went the extra mile! I have never experienced any company operation in the tourism industry that is such attention to detail and passionate about what they do, may I add pleasant throughout. Our Guide showed us more of Kauai than we bargained for and detailed the rich history of the 5 million year island. I have been on over 100 excursions and have NEVER reviewed. I guess that says it all.

Of all the options to tour Kauai and the canyons we wanted a smaller group to tour with. John is extremely knowledgeable and got us front row parking to most places. We were able to take our time and control the pace of our stops without waiting on crowds. It was the best investment. We took this tour early in our time on the island to learn where the best places to snorkel and spend time on the rest our trip!!

Don’t hesitate to book this tour , when you read private it’s private. It was my husband and I , and our guide John . Our guide took us to places a tour bus can’t go . He knows the history of the island and is full of information and great stories. We took the tour at the beginning of our trip so we could get an idea of what else to do in the island . The Canyon was amazing , the waterfall and countless other beautiful sights .. he even stops for you to have lunch in recommended places ( not included in price of tour ) . If you really want to see this beautiful island and get to know it , don’t hesitate.

A great tour with John to Waimea Canyon plus other stops along the way. We saw a Monk seal sleeping on the beach, sea turtles riding the waves and so many beautiful rainbows it was unbelievable. We had a very full day and were not rushed ! A lot of info.

Our guide was John. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We didn't think we wanted the full tour, but went anyway. We were so amazed at all the things we saw and learned about. The day just flew by. He took us to the best vantage points for pictures, etc. Took routes that the tour buses can't take. We ate authentic bbq food for lunch. He took us to some excellent shops for souvenirs. Saw a monk seal and sea turtles. A real delight was the spouting horn. Loved the Poipu beach area. Our time ran over, but he didn't rush us. Everything exceeded our expectations and was the highlight of our trip. Don't miss this one.

We used Kauai island shuttles for our private tour of Kauai and it was wonderful. Jon the owner and driver took us to all the fabulous sites, was knowledgeable of the islands history as well as current events. He didn’t rush us through any spot plus and volunteered to take pictures of us at every place we went if we wanted him to. We saw the endangered monk seals sleeping on the beach, multiple sea turtles and the best waterfall we saw in all the islands at rainbow falls. Because we were in a private vehicle that was clean and well maintained; we could get in and out of spots easily that tour buses could not. Can’t say enough about this fantastic tour. Ask for Kauai Island Shuttles.

This all day tour was the most informative and detailed tours. The entire day was well planned out and full of details. We had four young adults, all in their 20s, in our party and they loved it as well. Worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and do this tour!
