Downtown Asheville Guided Brewery Walking Tour

star-5
Asheville’s reputation as one of the top cities for brews in the Southeast is well-deserved, but the huge number of breweries to choose from can be intimidating for visitors. Discover which breweries are worth the hype on this Asheville brewery tour, which takes you to craft breweries with behind-the-scene access and ample pours at each. Unlike other Asheville brewery tours, this one is led by a certified cicerone, a recognized expert when it comes to beer.

    Asheville City Guided Walking Tour

    star-5
2020 has been hard on us - for a limited time I'm offering this tour for tips only. Please be respectful of my time & let me know if you do not intend to show. My free time is valuable too, thanks! Tour value of $45pp. This is a Boutique tour - Brass Monkey takes a maximum of 10 people! This allows me to spend quality time with you. Asheville City Tour is an extended walking tour of downtown Asheville (cemetery not currently included due to not being able to meet 6ft guidelines in vehicle). We walk for approximately 2 miles at a comfortable pace over 2 to 2.5 hrs. We start downtown: looking at glorious art-deco architecture coupled with an in-depth history of Asheville. We will stop at several locations and delve into the intriguing history of many of Asheville's past literary and notable residents including O'Henry, Thomas Wolfe and the 'founding fathers' of Asheville. The walking element of the tour is classified as easy/moderate. This tour is for history and architecture buffs!

    Slate Rock Trail Running Tour

    Available from Sunday

    Slate Rock Trail Running Tour

    star-5
Pisgah National Forest is the oldest of its kind in the eastern US. With over 500,000 acres and 1,600 miles of trail, some of the best overlooks and waterfalls are often overlooked. We will meet at Ecusta Brewing, then you will follow me to the trailhead, a ~30 minute scenic drive including a bit of dirt road. 2-wheel drive vehicles will have no problem, the road is well-maintained. Starting at the trailhead, we will run a ~7 mile loop with 1,400' of vertical. The run parallels a beautiful mountain stream with several cascades, then climbs its way up to one of the best overlooks in the forest - Slate Rock. Towering over the Pink Beds Valley, the overlook includes views of nearby Pilot Rock and the distant high peaks of the Great Balsam Range. I would argue that the views are far better than John Rock, Cedar Rock, or even Looking Glass Rock. Its limited popularity is due mostly to its remoteness and difficulty to navigate due to several unmarked trails along the way.
